hello/ bonjour:)
Good day to all. I have visited all the places I walked and lived during my short time in this district. I feel a sense of closeness to the writer Gabrielle Roy, in a small way. So many streets she writes about are apart of my life as I sure others too.
I came across a phrase that suites my feelings of those years when I visit the area, "It is like visiting an old friend." I came across this in my journey to find a photo of the outside of St. Thomas Aquinas School.
I will shortly,weeks. have in my hand the photo of St.Thomas Aquinas School and the church together. I saw the photo and now I will have it soon. It has been a long search and a productive one as well.
I have collected so much more about the community I was apart of for a short time. I learned about the amazing eras that it has been through in the decades that have passed. Many of which are apart of my family too.
Thank you for creating this lovely site.

La famille Beauséjour mon père Robert et ma mère Monique. Nous étions cinq filles Lise,Carole,Manon,Josée et Chantal ont habitaient le 4798 Cazelais juste à côté le la famille Dufresne. Mon père a habité cette adresse depuis l`âge de 6 ans de 1940 à 1997 (57 ans). C'était la maison paternel de la famille Beauséjour. Que de beaux souvenirs pour nous.

Très intéressant de revoir ces souvenir. Je demeurais sur la rue Cazelais jusqu'à la démolition de notre logement pour la construction de l'autoroute. Je me souviens très bien de l'épicerie Di Roma et de Fabi. Tout comme la fête des italiens au parc Vaillant!
