Forgot to mention that when Dad (George Hicks) came back from overseas besides working for Molson was also a waiter on the week-end at the First & LAst Tavern.

Hello,
I really enjoyed your site.
I lived at 4890 Cazelais for the first five years of my life 1941-1946.
My parents were Ruth and George Hicks. My Dad knew everyone as he delivered for Molsons brewery.
Very good family friends owned a grocery store on the corner of Cazelais and Desnoyer (I think this is the right spelling) Chaurettes grocery. My Fathers step father was Pete Leahy. Other friends were the Sheeans who lived on St Remi.
I have a few photos taken on Cazelais.
I notice that a Roberta Wheeler posted to your site. Would it be possible to have her email address or if you see this rOberta perhaps you can email me perhaps having lived on the same street our families may have known each other.

Peter,it was a pleasure to meet you at my dear uncle Gaby's memorial service.It was also a thrill to see your brother,Johnny,who is my godfather as well.I will be getting those swell pics of Gaby over to you in a .pdf format soon.Excellent job on the site .Kudos!

Félicitations pour ce très beau site!! Je l'ai parcouru avec beaucoup de joies car il m'a rappelé de nombreux souvenirs; mon père, Jean "Johnny" Desjardins fréquentait le White Owl; nous avons quitté le quartier en 1972 mais j'ai conservé de merveilleux souvenirs! MERCI!

Peter, congratulations on a terrific site! Although my father Victor has shown me several old pictures over the years, it is always great to see you "old guys" in your prime.
