Orsini Hall

The Orsini hall located on st. Jacques street was a special hangout were girls and guys could meet and dance, They had a juke box with all the popular songs and music and many learned to dance at this hall. Nowhere bus rides also departed and returned from this hall. Sometimes on Saturday night, a nowhere was organized and it cost one dollar to participate. The Nowhere bus would take patrons to a secret bar salon with music for dancing in Chateauguay, Vaudreuil, St-Rose, or Isle Perrot. After spending about three hours at the bar/salon drinking and dancing, the bus would return to the hall. Many singles bought tickets to the nowhere ride and returned as couples. It was interesting fun.
